Once I reached the mall, the first thing I did was go to the Albrook Bus Terminal and purchase a Rapi-Pass which is a 3 in one public transportation card. The card itself costs $2 and afterwards you recharge it with money and tap it to enter a bus or metro system.
The MetroBus system costs around $0.25 cents per ride with a 40 minute time period where transfers do not cost any additional money. The metro is still in its testing phase, so as long as you have a card the metro rides are free! The system reminds me of that from London and Hong Kong, using rechargeable cards instead of having to purchase a single pass each and every time (which you do in Montreal if you dont want to pay for an Opus card which definitely costs more than $2!).

After 10am when the mall opened, my first stop was the dollar store, which I noticed had nunchucks stored beside the Kitchen Placemats and soup ladles!!!!
The mall itself did not have great air conditioning, because right now in Panama there is an electricity shortage, so as a nation many of the services are reducing their electrical consumption. Even at work the supervisors are quite adamant about set times for Air Conditioning and always turning off the lights if they aren't being used.

The most interesting thing was that if you were to enter the shop with a bag, they made you go to a Paquetera which holds your stuff in cubbies and trades you for a little plaque. The grocery store (Super 99) had the same system if you wanted to get a basket for shopping. I later realized at the grocery store that there were carts around the cashier, but it was too late at that point (I'd already been carrying my milk around for a good hour).

Panama is also well known for their chicken soup, which I found was really well spaced and generally amazing! Definitely something I would go back for (even if its just for the soup).

In my browsing I came across a cute single glass of wine in a cup, it was over-priced but I found it adorable so I just had to put it here :P
While at the supermarket there was a promotional mariachi band that randomly started playing!
